Hate from the pulpit

Obama is having a hard time explaining his involvement in a church where the preacher has been notoriously preaching hate against the white community.

These comments are not new to the black community or the white community. Both races have been guilty of preaching such dogma and hate. The difference here is that Obama is running for the highest office in the world, the President of the United States of America. For Obama to claim that he had no knowledge of Reverend Wright’s speaking of such things is ridiculous. He attended this church for over 20 years. His children were taught by this preacher and he and his wife were married by this preacher. To claim now that he had “no knowledge” of this offensive language is obviously misleading.

Does this mean that he can’t be a good president? Americans will have to decide.
But I will tell you this. I don’t approve of those who will sit in a church and listen to hate being preached against other segments of our community such as Gays and Lesbians, Hispanics, ranting about the justification of 9-11 because America is tolerant of Homosexuality and therefore god is punishing our nation with the likes of Katrina, and other natural disaster.

Both are offensive and one is no worse than the other. I won’t vote for someone who believes in either of these views. I resent that they are allowed to influence my government with those beliefs and I resent that they have influence on our courts.

Black anger, Gay anger, Hispanic anger, economic anger, are all real and it is up to us to insure that we don’t put anymore religious zealots from any one of these basis in the Whitehouse.

The “more perfect union” means that we don’t tolerate such hate speech coming from the church pulpit or from the Whitehouse lawn.

American Religious Leader Guilty of the Ultimate Hypocrisy

Pat Robertson yesterday announced that he will endorse Rudy Giuliani. What???? You have got to be kidding me. The, as the Republicans and the Religious Wrong refer to them, Pro Abortion and Pro Gay Rights Giuliani is who Pat Robertson feels best represents his Religious Family Values?

OK folks, if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck guess what? If there was ever any doubt that the most important thing to Pat Robertson was Power and Money this should forever put that debate to rest.

Pat Robertson told his flock of sheep that the reason America was attacked on 9-11 was because we allowed abortions and because of pornography on the internet.

Pat Robertson told that same flock that the reason Katrina happened and the damage done by Katrina was god punishing us for allowing abortions and homosexuality in America.

And “Whala” Who does Pat Robertson endorse as the presidential candidate for the Republican Party? The most liberal center of the road candidate running for that party Rudy Giuliani! Don’t get me wrong, If I had to chose a republican Giuliani would probably be my choice. But a Pat Robertson endorsement? Scare me!!!!!

Rudy has supported Gay Rights for many years. He lived with a Gay couple after one of his many divorces. What? Divorce? OH MY WORD!!!!!! Pat Robertson is supporting a Divorced candidate? Blasphemy!!!!!!

For all those followers of this Vile man, and I’m not talking about Giuliani, how much more Kool-Aid are you going to consume? The very issues that are at the top of the Religious Rights supposed “Values” are the very things that he is now endorsing. Get it yet? You have been DUPED! Just like you were DUPED by W! You have been used and abused to further his hateful and nasty rhetoric only for him to come forward at last and reveal who he really is and what he really stands for. His only concern is MONEY…. Your money! Now get that check in the mail to the PTL club. He needs to send his contribution to the Giuliani campaign.

Another not so breaking news story this week Richard Curtis was revealed as a homosexual living the lie.

Curtis is married, has children and had voted against gay rights proposals in the Legislature.

Curtis’ relationship to the man came to light after he reported to police he was a victim of the man's alleged extortion attempt. It seems that Curtis had offered the young man $1000.00 to have unsafe-unprotected sex with him in a hotel room in Spokane WA. Curtis went to a book store dressed as a woman and picked up this young man. After the sex act was complete Curtis, typical male, fell asleep and failed to pay the man for his services. The younger man took Curtis’ bill fold and held it for payment. Curtis reported to the police that he was a victim of extortion by the young man.

It is so amazing to me that the Republican Party still attempts to hold themselves up as some beacon of justice & truth when in fact they are nothing but a bunch of hypocrites. They carry on about being the “moral compass” for American when in fact they only play moral police and they are the biggest offenders.

In the recent weeks we have had everything from evangelist Ted Haggard to government leaders such as Larry Craig, David Vitter, Mark Foley not to forget Tom Delay and his antics.

Are your kids being deprived because the Religious Right declares their hero's "unacceptable"?

Religious extremists have decided that the Harry Potter books are not acceptable for children because they have a Homosexual (gay) character in them. Isn’t that rich! A fiction sequence of novels has been determined to be hazardous to children by the right wing Religious Right.

I find this very interesting as well as extremely revealing. First of all the books are fiction. None of the characters in the books are real. They don’t exist! Isn’t it a bit crazy to decide that something that is fictional isn’t acceptable? That’s like saying that anything that is improvable is fictional and therefore not acceptable. What does that say about the bible?

Isn’t it interesting that instead of cleaning up the messes they have within their organization with preachers, pastors, and others in positions of power and those who have access to the very children they are so worried about they find it necessary to attack a fictional character? Much like Jerry Farewells attack on Tinky Winky, the entire saga appears to be just another attempt to play with the minds of others.

They didn’t approve of the Harry Potter series to begin with because of the “mystical” aspects of the document. Compared to what? The bible?

I think the entire thing is ridiculous! Children need a bit of magic in their childhood. It’s good for the creative mind. It’s good for the “I want to understand” inquisitive maturity of their being. It also develops their ability to decipher reality from fiction…. AHHHH there’s the rub… If they develop that capability God knows what will happen… They won’t believe all the crap these hypocrites want to pump into their minds. Well that part of the mystery is solved but what other reasons would they have for attacking a Fictional Character?

I heard on spokesman for the Religious Wrong saying that kids would say that they needed to try this Gay thing out because they read it in Harry Potter. Can you imagine saying “I think I’ll try being gay” based on a fictional character? If your kids are that easily manipulated you have more problems than them “trying gay”! Talk about Paranoia! They are more likely to try “suicide bomber” based on reality!

By the way, I heard there are rumors that Burt and Ernie, Peppermint Pattie, & Bugs Bunny were all gay. At least these zealots don’t have to worry about them having abortions right?

I know I have written a lot about Larry Craig But this thing just gets better and better. The ethics committee has decided that they need to do an investigation on him to determine if they can expel him from the senate.

Ok, wait, a government ethics investigation? For soliciting sex in a men’s room in an airport? Isn’t that a bit ridiculous when Vitter was “soliciting” sex from a “Illegal” prostitute in an “illegal” brothel in Louisiana?

Where is the outrage by AFA, American Family Association, Donald Weldmon, Family Research Council, The Religious Right/Wrong, Pat Robertson, Tony Perkins, Dobson, and the rest of the Hate Mongering Right Wing against Vitter and his “Family Values” and leading our nation into the arms of Prostitutes?

Vitter actually broke the law hiring a prostitute and the Republican Party is falling all over themselves because they have a “homosexual” in their Rankin file? They also have a Federal criminal Mr. Vitter who apparently because he’s involved with prostitutes instead of a homosexual all is forgiven…

Yes, we need a ethics investigation on the basis of Hypocrisy!!!!

Misdemeanor VS Mister Weiner???

Well today we find out that Larry Craig has left a trail of deception. He made a call to who he thought was his lawyer and left a message about misleading the public on his resignation from the senate. He referred to Alien Specter’s willingness to support him and commented that he was changing his resignation speech to reflect “intent” to resign. He had called a wrong number and it has been release to the media.

I guess that means that his guilty plea was all misunderstood.

My suspicion is that when the police said they would reduce his charge to a misdemeanor the thought they said Mister Weiner and responded… I’ll take that!

Actually I still don’t think he should resign. I think he needs to hold the feet of the republicans to the fire and if they want him to resign so should all other sexual suspect such as Vitter and others. Just because he’s gay isn’t a reason to resign…. Maybe he can start changing his votes to reflect his now revealed life style????

Tony Perkins of course is having kittens over the announcement that he’s sticking around and going to fight. I am sure Perkins’s really upset that he will be expected to strong arm all sex offenders and not just those accused of being gay. Wonder when Perkins is going to uphold the same distaste for adultery and divorce as he does for homosexuality? Don’t look for that to happen soon…. Those issues will take money out of his pocket instead of firing up the base and getting the hate cash flowing in.

It would appear that it is imperative that if you are a republican pundit or a religious right wing nut you will be best served by not traveling. It appears that there is some kind of virus going around that causes a Republican to fall into the throws of Homosexuality when they leave their families behind. Recent sighting of the likes of Larry Craig, Ted Haggard, along with many of their peer group have been unable to resist the urge to participate in homosexual activity in recent attempts to travel. Good Riddance Jerry! You’ll Be Remembered for the Hateful Man you were!

I have been hearing all the revisionist bull shit on TV about what kind of person Jerry Falwell was. Where were these people during the late 80’s early 90’s? Jerry Falwell is the face, the very image of Homophobia! This man prior to the 80’s hated Blacks and tried to use his pulpit to justify slavery, and fought the civil rights movement until forced to repent later in his life.

That is when he decided to direct his hatred toward the Gay and Lesbian community. During the beginning of the AIDS crisis Jerry states such vile assessments as “AIDS is god’s wrath on the Gay community for their sinful lifestyle.” Of course this proved to be totally ridiculous as many Heterosexuals became ill with this dreaded disease. He was Regan’s confidant on many issues including the AIDS crisis which is why of course Regan failed to do anything to address the crisis. Jerry had convinced Regan that AIDS was a Gay disease sent by God and after all, why would we want to do anything to stop the handy work of a loving god who according to Falwell had inflicted such misery on the sinful Gay community!

Jerry was a man of Lucifer! He was no man of god! His life’s work was dedicated to causing misery and mayhem. Look at the Bakers and what Jerry did to them.
Jimmy & Tammy Fay Baker spoke last night about what Jerry did to the PTL club and how he wrenched it from their hands. When the Bakers decided they wanted to take the operation of the PTL back from Falwell he denied them. He decided they were unfit to operate it. Imagine Jerry Falwell making such a determination. OUTRAGOUS!!!

Another of his many notable blunders was 9-11. He proclaimed to the world that the reason the USA was struck on 9-11 was because they were accepting of Homosexuals. The United States was being punished by God for their acceptance and inclusiveness of the “Homosexual Lifestyle”. All of which the Republican Party accepted as some revelation from god leading George Bush to seek Constitutional Amendments adding hate to the US constitution.

He along with his partners in crime, Pat Robertson, Donald Wildmon, & James Dobson made millions of dollars on the backs of the Gay and Lesbian community. Jerry Falwell was the ring leader as he started the “Moral Majority” which resulted in Dobson’s “Focus on the Family”, Donald Wildmon’s “American Family Association” both of which have blossomed into harbors of hate for the religious right and further attacks on the Gay and Lesbian Community. Billions and Billions of dollars have been made by these people preaching pure hate against one segment of mankind. All will be remembered for their Hate as they pass from this life to the eternal one.

Hate Crimes bill passes the House!

But not without the hate mongering Religious zealots there to try and stop it. They are working their nasty magic to try and stop this bill. After all, preaching hate against Gays and Lesbians has been the top producing way they have been able to generate revenue for the past 6 years. They have been allowed to flourish on their hate mongering rants about their twisted interpretation of the bible and how sinful the gay community is. At the same time they have hypocrites within their ranks doing everything they preach against on the pulpit.

The major success of this bill can be attributed to the fact that Mathew Sheppard’s mother showed up and stood in front of congress while the hate mongers were spewing hate and nasty rhetoric outside.

These hate mongers care not about the word of god, they want to continue to use the Gay and Lesbian community as a revenue stream and they know that they too could be held liable for their hate!

Who they going to pick on next???? What’s going to be the next great revenue stream????

Not to worry they still have a long time before this bill makes it far enough to curb their abusive behaviors and so the revenue is still flowing allowing them to further promote their hate!
